My favorite thin crust delivery by far.

I stick with the basics, no crazy sauces or toppings...just 3 toppings for me thanks. Also, they are always nice on the phone and always speedy, I've never had to wait more than 45 minutes.

Since the Marina is like East Germany to me, I don't cross the demarcation line of California street. So I can't really speak for the post bar crawl experience without gagging at the thought.

I've always eaten the to-go Curry-in-a-Hurry and been perfectly satisfied with flavor, price and portion. Now I'm thoroughly enjoying Mehfil as a solid delivery choice when I'm feeling like I can't lift a finger in the kitchen. The quality is up there.

I've been apologizing for my breath two days in a row thanks to Perilla's garlic noodles. Not even Orbit could clean the dirty up.

Today I thought, hmmm maybe Thai? But when push came to shove, the garlic noodles were on line two of ext. 2233 saying, "Hello? EAT ME. And I'll be ready in 10. K. Thx. Bye. Oh, and screw your co-workers, garlic is in baby."

Grilled Pork: Yup, really juicy good.
Grilled Shrimp: Yup, tasty.
Grilled anything from here is a sure bet, pile on those garlic noodles!

Don't listen to a barrel of office monkeys...House of Shields is the finest bar in the FiDi. The fading history on it's walls doesn't get in the way of the party, it only makes it better. Take a close look at the photos on the wall, you might spot some old famous folks who might have downed a beer or two in a previous era. (See if you can find Joe DiMaggio by the bathroom.) The bartenders are chill, just don't try ordering rounds of 30 apple martinis, stick with the Hoegaarden like I do.

What a gorgeous spot to stop on a bike ride. Venture down to the little beach and take a breather.

Oh my gawd, seriously. Lunch was disgustingly gourmet today. A veritable PILE of delicious tender marinated cevichesque scallops and fresh ripe tomatoes topped a couple of tender leaves of butter leaf lettuce. This was accompanied by fresh home-made bread and a side of peach cobbler topped with a slathering of hand-whipped cream. Luscious indeed. I'm a fan, I'll be stuck on repeat for a while with daily specials like these. Bring it on Sentinel!!

Got kids? Waterslides! Got sore muscles? Hit up the newly remodeled hot mineral pools. More on the pools, there are a lot to choose from...kiddie pools, lap lanes, mini waterfalls to sit under, it's all here.

Swimming need not be the only reason to stop by, there's also a full fitness center with exercise classes and plenty of equipment as well.

Big juicy burgers made out of locally raised beef, with a long list of gourmet toppings to stack it up any way YOU want it. Fluffy old-school egg buns keep it all together neatly. My combo: blue cheese spread with sweet tomato jam!

Sunday was Suburban Bicycling Excursion Day for my friend Ms. Diana M and I. We weren't quite prepared for the heat on the Lafayette-Moraga Recreation Trail, and were first saved by some cute kids with a lemonade stand, and then ultimately saved by ice-cream and air conditioning at Loard's.

What a cute shop, styled with quaint Americana: pink vinyl booths, sweetheart shaped ice-cream shop chairs, a great pez collection and an assortment of historical photos. The ice-cream selection is on the traditional side, you won't find exotic foodie flavors here, just the time honed favorites such as bubble-gum, coffee, lemon chiffon and chocolate chip. I had an old favorite of mine: Peanut Butter Fudge, and was very happy.

For all you riders, stop here after the long haul! I recommend it heartily.
